Shake Shack reopens for delivery and takeaway
American burger brand Shake Shack has confirmed it will reopen its central London Tottenham Court Road store today and its Canary Wharf branch on Thursday for takeaway and delivery.
Customers will be able to order for home delivery via Deliveroo or from one of the stores. Shake Shack will adhere to strict social distancing protocols, including floor markers, contactless pick-up and allocated pick-up zones. The stores will be open every day from 11.30am until 10pm.
Shake Shack, famous for its modern version of a 'roadside burger stand', has also said it will deliver 1,000 free meals to NHS hospitals in London in partnership with Deliveroo, and will be running a buy-one-get-one-free burger offer for emergency services workers.
The announcement comes after the chain temporarily closed its stores on 24 March in line with government advice. Shake Shack, which operates 10 sites in London, Lakeside and Cardiff, opened at Gatwick Airport's North terminal in October last year as part of a joint partnership between TRG Concessions and Diverse Dining.
