Isaac At in Brighton to close in August

Modern British restaurant Isaac At in Brighton is due to close on 26 August after an "incredible" eight-and-a-half years of trading.

Posting the news on Instagram, chef-patron Isaac Bartlett-Copeland said the team had "loved every part of the journey but it's now time for new beginnings".

He added: "Isaac At has been so much more than just a restaurant to us, it's been about the people that have dined with us and all the incredible things that have happened here.

"From all the anniversaries and birthdays to proposals and even a few weddings. We have been blessed with the most incredible guests, in the most incredible city! And not to mention all the amazingly passionate suppliers and producers that have inspired us and grown with us along the way."

The restaurant will be serving a ‘Best of Isaac At' menu that will be available from the end of the month until closure and has urged newcomers and regulars alike to "get in touch with any dishes you think need to be on there".

Isaac At is listed in the Michelin Guide and received recognition for dishes with an "understated modern style, with a slight Scandic edge".

Bartlett-Copeland opened wood-fire restaurant Embers in Brighton in April with chef Dave Marrow.
