Seafood specialist the Wright Brothers to open City of London site
Seafood specialist the Wright Brothers will open its sixth restaurant in the City of London this summer.
The 6,000 sq ft restaurant at 1 Frederick's Place will feature a shellfish display and bar as well as private dining room.
Co-founder Robin Hancock said: "With iconic landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral and the Bank of England on our doorstep, Frederick's Place is an ideal location for expanding our restaurant offer within the City. Since launching our original restaurant 15 years ago in Borough Market, we have continued to grow our brand and now look forward to revealing our sixth restaurant in London."
Wright Brothers was founded by brothers-in-law Ben Wright and Hancock. It has London sites in Borough, Soho, Spitalfields, South Kensington and Battersea.
The site has been let by the Mercers' Company. Property director Simon Taylor said: "Known for their refreshing take on seafood and their growing customer base, Wright Brothers is the ideal occupier for the prime restaurant space at Frederick's Place.
"Investing in our property portfolio to regenerate pockets of London has been our main focus, with Frederick's Place at the forefront of this strategy. This specialist restaurant signing, alongside recent news of MJ Hudson moving into 1-3 Frederick's Place, will create a buzzing community hub in the heart of the City."
