Steven Edwards to take over Bingham Riverhouse restaurant
The restaurant at the Bingham Riverhouse in London's Richmond is relaunching as Steven Edwards at Bingham Riverhouse from March.
The venue relaunched as the Bingham Riverhouse a year ago following a full refurbishment, having previously been called the Bingham.
Former head chef Andrew Cole left the restaurant earlier this month and Edwards will be redesigning the menu focusing on seasonal British food, while also continuing to run his restaurant Etch in Hove, which opened in March 2017.
New dishes will include crown roasted guinea hen with cauliflower cheese and nasturtium; and nostalgic Granny Smith apple crumble with granny smith apple sorbet and marigold.
Edwards said: "I'm really pleased that we're taking our next step into London by collaborating with Bingham Riverhouse. I'm so proud of what we've achieved in Hove so far, and with so much more to come there, this feels like the right way to continue to grow our portfolio."
Bingham Riverhouse's manager Erick Kervaon added: "We're very excited about collaborating with Steven. Since our days together at South Lodge over 10 years ago, we've always tried to find ways to work together and he's taken over the kitchen at the Bingham as a guest chef a few times in the past. His dish innovation and eye-popping presentation is inspiring and we see a great fit with this and the next chapter of Bingham Riverhouse."
In 1984 the Trinder family acquired the property and it remains to this day under the ownership of mother and daughter Ruth and Samantha Trinder.
