The Caterer to resume printing from 3 July issue
The Caterer will resume distributing printed copies of the weekly magazine from 3 July issue after moving to digital-only in April shortly after the UK went into lockdown.
Editor Chris Gamm said that with hospitality beginning to reopen from 4 July, it was important that The Caterer, as the industry's leading media brand, was there to support it.
"During these unprecedented times, it has been clear that hospitality professionals have looked to trusted sources of news, advice and information that can help their business survive and plan for the future," he said.
"The Caterer has spoken to those leading the industry out of this catastrophe, shared case studies of those pivoting their businesses as new opportunities arose, and analysed what any changes have meant for you as they've unfolded.
"This strategy has clearly worked and, since lockdown began, more than 1.2m of you have visited thecaterer.com and read more than 2.6m articles. However, we've all missed our weekly print copy of the magazine. Therefore, I'm delighted to announce that we will be resuming printing from next week's issue.
"I'd like to thank all The Caterer's subscribers for their support and patience over the past few months and wish those beginning to reopen their businesses the very best success."
The 3 July issue of The Caterer features interviews with new TGI Friday chief executive Robert Cook and the Ritz executive chef John Williams, the results of The Caterer's research into hospitality leaders' reopening plans and a profile on how Cornwall's Watergate Bay hotel is adapting for the future.
