The Belfry appoints Ryan Swift head chef of Ryder Grill restaurant

The Belfry Hotel & Resort has appointed Ryan Swift head chef of its fine-dining Ryder Grill restaurant.

Swift joins the four-AA-silver-star, 319-bedroom hotel in Sutton Coldfield from the same role at Dormy House hotel, having held head chef roles at Hampton Manor's Peel's restaurant, the Edgbaston hotel, and pastry chef at Hambleton Hall.

He said: "Being from Tamworth I have always known about the Belfry with its long-standing reputation for excellence and so I am delighted to be starting here and cannot wait to get stuck in."

The hotel also has two other restaurants: Sam's Clubhouse and Rocca's Pizza Pasta. The property is owned by KSL Capital, a US-based fund specialising in the hospitality sector which also owns Cameron House in Loch Lomond and Village Hotels, and is operated by Village Urban Resorts.
