Catering Business Opportunity: Castleton Visitor Centre, Peak District National Park
The Peak District National Park is seeking an innovative catering business to operate the food and drink concession within its newly transformed visitor centre at Castleton.
Tenders are invited for the concession, which includes a cafe and kiosk, to cater for visitors within the centre.
The cafe will serve high quality food and beverages, with a focus on local and artisan produce. The kiosk will provide refreshments to take away.
The concession includes:
• Up to a four-year licence agreement;
• contemporary fully-furnished cafe and kiosk with provision for 66 covers;
• fitted commercial kitchen with appliances.
Castleton visitor centre nestles in the heart of the popular tourist village and attracts more than 160,000 people every year. The refurbishment aims to improve the visitor experience, particularly for young people, families and people living with disability.
The facility will become the Peak District National Park's premier visitor centre with exciting new interpretation displays, a museum, modern retail space and an area for activities. A programme of National Park events is also run from the centre.
