Stonegate to axe up to 300 jobs at head office in restructure
Stonegate Pub Company, which is integrating with Ei Group following its acquisition in March, has begun a consultation process which will see up to 300 roles being made redundant across both businesses.
The group employs over 15,145 staff nationwide and has said that any redundancies will reflect the business' aim to "reduce central costs where possible", as well as to continue to "protect the group's liquidity headroom", as the sector recovers over the coming months.
The group has also confirmed that Bermondsey Pub Company's 65 pubs are being incorporated into the group's managed estate and will be converted into one of Stonegate's existing pub formats.
From January the integrated businesses will be headquartered in Ei Group's former head office in Solihull, Birmingham. Stonegate will vacate its head office in Luton when the lease expires in December but will maintain a presence in the town with a satellite hub above one of its pubs.
