Michelin reveals new Bib Gourmand awards for 2020 guide
Michelin has revealed the new Bib Gourmand award winners for its 2020 guide.
Bib Gourmands recognise pubs and restaurants offering exceptionally good food at moderate prices, and hold a coveted place for many high-quality restaurants with affordable offerings.
This year has seen 22 new Bib Gourmands presented and 33 deletions, bringing the total in the guide to 132.
New Bib Gourmand recipients:
Merienda, Stockbridge, Edinburgh: "boldly flavoured Mediterranean-style small plates, made using Scottish ingredients"
Pilgrim, Liverpool: "vibrant small plates cooked over wood charcoal offer a contemporary take on classic Spanish and Iberian flavours"
Sardine Factory, Looe: "champions Cornish fish – much of it cooked on the bone"
The Wiveton Bell, Norfolk: "seasonal pub classics, carefully crafted from quality local ingredients"
Circa, Dublin: "a laid-back neighbourhood restaurant"
