Man fatally stabbed at Birmingham hotel

A 20-year-old man has been fatally stabbed at a hotel in Birmingham.

Police were called to the Crowne Plaza hotel in Holliday Street at around 7.20pm on Tuesday and found the man suffering from stab injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead in hospital.

A 19-year-old man has since been arrested.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, of West Midlands Police, said: "A young man has tragically lost his life and our thoughts are with his family after receiving such shocking news. They have been fully updated with news of our arrest and are being supported by specialist officers."
