Federico Ciampi named cluster general manager of Crimson Hotels
Federico Ciampi has been appointed as cluster general manager of Crimson Hotels following the group's acquisition of Trafalgar St James (pictured) in August.
Ciampi, who received a master's in hotel management from Cornell University, has more than 15 years' experience in the industry, having worked at the Mayfair Townhouse and the V&A Manchester Marriott, as well as in Dubai and the British Virgin Islands.
He will manage the Curio Collection properties within the portfolio, which includes 100 Queen's Gate Hotel London in South Kensington and the recently added 131-bedroom Trafalgar St James, which he previously oversaw for two years between 2018 and 2020.
Ciampi said: "It's an honour to return to the Trafalgar St James as general manager. The hotel is in an impeccable location and boasts a fantastic clientele. I'm looking forward to building on previous experience and advancing the team to continue to offer the standout service expected at such a prominent and well known luxury London hotel."
Stephanie Gosling, group commercial director of Crimson Hotels, added: "Federico was a natural first choice to head up the Trafalgar St James hotel. Not only does he have a legacy of managing the property, but the fact he is operating across multiple locations in the portfolio will allow him to bring a depth of knowledge and creative flair to enhance operations and offering at both 100 Queen's Gate hotel and the Trafalgar St James hotel. We are thrilled to see what the future holds for both properties in such capable hands."
Crimson Hotels was founded in 1995 and manages nine hotels, totalling over 2,000 bedrooms.
