Two people found dead in Romford hotel

A man and a woman have been found dead at a hotel in Romford.
The police were called at 12:43hrs on Saturday, 1 July, after reports that the pair were unresponsive at the property in Mercury Gardens.
The Caterer understands that an unidentified substance was also discovered at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade. A man, aged 28, and a woman, aged 54, were pronounced dead at the scene.
"Their next of kin have been informed and post-mortem examinations will take place in due course.
"The deaths are being treated as unexpected and further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances."
