Tennent's pledges free beer to Scotland's pubs in bid to 'drive footfall back'
Tennent's has promised to give away free kegs of beer to around 2,000 licensed premises across Scotland as part of its Dedicated to You campaign in a bid to kick-start the country's hospitality industry.
The initiative will see thousands of bars, restaurants, sports venues, social clubs and other on-trade outlets across Scotland receive a free keg of Tennent's Lager or Tennent's Light after enrolling through the campaign's online portal.
As well as gifting kegs, Tennent's is also providing complimentary re-opening point of sale (POS) kits to more than 1,000 Scottish outlets. As part of the campaign, consumers are invited to download a voucher which will allow them to claim a free pint in a participating pub of their choice.
Kenny Gray, managing director at Tennent's, said: "Tennent's has always been dedicated to Scotland's on-trade and we've launched this campaign as a further measure to support recovery after the most difficult period ever faced by the industry.
"We want to help drive footfall back into licenced premises, kick-starting the country's hospitality industry by dedicating a pint to drinkers across Scotland."
In Scotland beer gardens and other outdoor hospitality venues welcomed back customers on Monday, with indoor spaces in bars and pubs allowed to reopen from July 15.
