SushiDog to open two London sites amid growth plans

Quick service sushi roll restaurant SushiDog has revealed it will be opening two further sites in London as the group sets eyes on a 10-strong portfolio by 2024.

SushiDog was founded in 2017 by Greg Ilsen and Nick Goldstein and began as a kiosk at Westfield London Shepherd's Bush in May 2018. It launched its first bricks and mortar site in Covent Garden in 2020 and now operates four sites in total across the city.

It is due to open its Baker Street site on 29 August, which will be followed by a site on the Strand at the end of next month.

Both SushiDogs will offer a range of Asian-inspired salads and signatures sushi rolls and bowls for grab-and-go, such as the teriyaki chicken roll and the yuzu truffle tuna salad.

The group announced it is working on a pipeline of further stores, targeting an additional four locations by 2024.

Ilsen said: "We are excited to bring our rolls, bowls and salads to two new central London locations, offering local office workers, residents and visitors in the area a healthy and vibrant meal. Over the past 5 years, we have built a loyal brand following which has gone from strength to strength. We can't wait to start this next chapter in our journey, whilst we continue to thrive and seek out opportunities for future growth."

It comes after SushiDog received a £612,000 investment from Middleton Enterprises in April, which will support the QSR brand's wider aims to open 30 new sites across the capital.
