Stephen Trigg to represent UK & Ireland in World Chocolate Masters Final
Stephen Trigg, co-founder of Lauden Chocolate, has been selected to represent UK & Ireland in the World Chocolate Masters Final.
The competition will be held from 29-31 October 2022 in the Salon du Chocolat in Paris. This year's final is made up of 18 chocolate chefs from across the world who will take part in seven assignments, with the winner having successfully created the "chocolate of tomorrow".
Trigg has spent over 15 years in the chocolate trade and supplies Michelin-starred restaurants and British Airways first-class passengers with his chocolate.
He said: "My father was from North Yorkshire and my mother is from Dublin, so I truly feel I am representing both countries. My passion is to inspire future generations of pastry chefs and chocolatiers and show that anything is possible."
Judging will be spearheaded by Amaury Guichon, the host of Netflix's School of Chocolate. Alistair Birt, senior head pastry chef at Harrods in London's Knightsbridge, and Australian pastry chef Kirsten Tibballs, will also be joining the panel of 18 judges.
The World Chocolate Masters Final was established by Cacao Barry, which celebrates its 180th anniversary this year. It strives to champion creative chocolate artisanship and support new talent in the industry.
