Simon Anderson leaves Market Halls two years after launch
Simon Anderson has left his role as chief creative officer of Market Halls two years after its launch.
Anderson (pictured, left), who plans to launch a restaurant and brand consultancy working with start-ups, said that overseeing its growth had been "one of the biggest honours of my career".
Anderson will continue to work with Market Halls, which opened has sites in Victoria, Fulham and Oxford Street, in his new role as a consultant.
He said: "It's been one of the biggest honours of my career to take Market Halls from an idea on a piece of paper to the market leader it is today.
Andy Lewis-Pratt, chief executive of Market Halls, (pictured, right) said: "We would all like to thank Simon for his vision, knowledge and experience of the sector which have been central to the growth of Market Halls."
Since launching in 2018 Market Halls has served more than two million customers from its three London sites. It is set to open a fourth London food hall at Canary Wharf's Crossrail Place next year.
It has also gained licensing approval for an opening in York.
The group had operated the Hall at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, but closed the venture late last year after about six months.
