Ruby Hotels opens second London property

Ruby Zoe has opened in London's Notting Hill, which marks the Munich-based hotel group's second London property.

The group, founded by Michael Struck in 2013, confirmed that it is aiming to open a Ruby hotel in Clerkenwell at the end of 2023 or early 2024. It also revealed plans to open a hotel in Edinburgh last November.

Ruby Zoe has 173 rooms spread over six floors with a total area of 6,860 sq m and features Caribbean-inspired interiors, a ground-floor bar and vinyl store, and a glass-fronted entrance.

Rooms consist of open washstands and glass rain showers, as well as cherry wood panelling. Guests can choose from a 15 sq m Nest room, a 17 sq m Cosy room, an 18-24 sq m Lovely room and a 30 sq m Wow room, with average room rates at £225 a night.

In the autumn, British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové will be unveiling a glass mosaic artwork in the hotel's façade, which was commissioned as public artwork for the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Ruby Hotels operates 16 hotels across Europe and has a further 20 hotels in the pipeline.
