Mentoring platform Plan B to hold its first conference in October
The Plan B mentoring platform, created to increase female representation on boards across the hospitality industry, will hold its first conference at 30 Euston Square, London, on 5 October.
Jane O'Riordan, chair at Caravan, Red Engine, and Turtle Bay; Emma Woods, Tortilla chair and Gym Group director; and Revolution Bars CEO Rob Pitcher will be speaking at the half day ‘Accelerating Change' conference.
UK Hospitality chief executive Kate Nicholls OBE, Be Inclusive Hospitality founder Lorraine Copes, Caravan founder Laura Harper-Hinton, Hostmore chief executive Robert Cook, chief people officer at Odeon Suzie Welch, and chef director at Peckham Manor Ronnie Murray will also share lived experiences and ‘work in progress' strategies.
Experts from Microsoft, Google and the BBC will provide insights from other sectors of the industry.
The event is targeted towards C-level business leaders, founders and HR professionals.
Five years ago, industry professionals Ann Elliott, Holly Addison and Emma Causer founded Plan B "out of frustration" and a desire to accelerate the promotion of women leaders.
The Plan B conference is supported by ten ‘Founding Partners', including Greene King, BT Sport, the Restaurant Group Plc and Revolution Bars.
It is also backed by venue partner Searcy's, insights partner CGA and organising partners Peter and Christine Martin.
