Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts appoints Phillip Allen as president

Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts, owned and developed by Nashville-based AJ Capital Partners, has promoted Phillip Allen to the newly created role of president.

Allen was former chief development officer, international markets, for AJ Capital Partners. He supported the international expansion of both the Marine & Lawn and Graduate Hotels brands, identifying target markets, underwriting acquisition opportunities, negotiating purchases and overseeing the closing process.

During his tenure, AJ Capital Partners created the Marine & Lawn collection, and acquired four properties for the brand, as well as two UK hotels for its Graduate Hotels brand.

He will be temporarily relocating to the UK for the role.

The Marine & Lawn portfolio includes the Rusacks St Andrews and Marine North Berwick, which relaunched in September 2021; as well as Marine Troon, due to relaunch this month, and Slieve Donard Resort & Spa, slated for next year. Each property is in a golf and leisure destination, and has locally inspired design, food and beverage concepts from White Rabbit Projects.
