Marcus Wareing says PizzaExpress has the ‘best pizza in London'

Chef Marcus Wareing has revealed the best pizza in London is available at PizzaExpress.

Speaking to Jesse Burgess from film production duo Topjaw (made up of Burgess and Will Warr), the MasterChef: The Professionals judge prefaced his response with "you're not going to like this", then happily confessed he loves the American Hot pizza.

In the video interview shared on Instagram, Wareing said: "I still eat the same pizza I've been eating for the last 20 years. American Hot, love it, Romana with a little bit of extra chilli. Every time I go, it tastes exactly the same."

The PizzaExpress Instagram account then responded to the video with "Yes, chef".

Warr has also interviewed Chet Sharma, chef patron of BiBi and recipient of the 2022 Menu of the Year Catey, who said L'oro di Napoli in London's Ealing has the best pizza, while Angelo Sato, owner of Humble Chicken in London's Soho, picked Papa John's.
