LSS Group becomes a Kickstart gateway to offer work placement support
The LSS Group has become a Kickstart gateway to help the hospitality sector place young people in jobs at zero net cost to employers.
The Kickstart scheme offers grants for employers to provide work placements to unemployed people aged 16-24.
As a Kickstart gateway, LSS Group will offer bespoke support to employers who wish to take part, from handling the applications process to offering ongoing support such as mentoring, a dedicated placement manager, skills development, help with CV building and job applications, and post-placement support towards future employment.
The LSS Group hopes to remove stress from providers and allow them to focus on providing a high-quality work placement experience.
Andy Merricks, chief executive of LSS Group, said: "Covid-19 is having a profound impact on the hospitality, and young people entering the labour market are among the worst affected. We believe that our experience will enable businesses to scale up recruitment in a manageable way, as well as helping young people enter the industry and gain valuable experience and earnings. It also provides an opportunity to nurture some much needed 'home grown' talent."
The process from application to interviewing potential placements can take around six weeks. For more information click here or email kickstart@thelssgroup.co.uk.
