Kieran Quinn appointed general manager of Kimpton Charlotte Square
Kieran Quinn has been appointed general manager of the Kimpton Charlotte Square hotel in Edinburgh, following hot on the heels of the appointment of Gordon Shaw as hotel manager.
He replaces Acorn Award winner Johan Scheepers, who has joined fellow InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) property, the InterContinental Edinburgh the George.
Quinn joins the 199-bedroom property from IHG's Crowne Plaza Edinburgh Royal Terrace, where he was general manager and oversaw the hotel's renovation.
He began his career in hospitality in his native Donegal in Ireland and qualified with distinction from the Shannon College of Hotel Management. His roles have since included deputy manager at the Sandhouse hotel in Donegal, executive assistant manager at the Sheraton Grand in Edinburgh, and general manager at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane.
Quinn said: "The Kimpton Charlotte Square team is an incredibly talented and dedicated team who I'm really looking forward to continue to work alongside.
"We have some ambitious plans for 2020 and we will continue to ensure that every guest experience is truly one-of-a-kind with our distinct charm, personality and outstanding service."
Kimpton Charlotte Square is the second UK opening for the brand following the successful opening of Kimpton Fitzroy London in October 2018.
