Kerth Gumbs takes head chef role at Fenchurch at London's Sky Garden
Rhubarb Hospitality Collection has announced Kerth Gumbs as the new head chef of Fenchurch at the Sky Garden in London.
The 2020 Great British Menu finalist will take on the new position at the restaurant, which is situated on the 37th floor of the 'Walkie Talkie' building, in early December.
Gumbs' most recent position was head chef at London's Boiler & Co, where he developed a Caribbean-inspired fine dining menu for the restaurant's launch in February this year before leaving just five months later.
He spent the summer running a pop-up at the Four Seasons Resort and Residence in his native Anguilla, while also filming his judging of 18-25-year-old chefs for BBC Three's upcoming series Young MasterChef.
Before this Gumbs, held the position of head chef at Ormer Mayfair for five years.
"With its unrivalled city skyline views and its reputation as one of London's leading fine-dining rooftop restaurants, I'm thrilled to be joining the Fenchurch team," said Gumbs.
"It is a beautiful and iconic venue with so much to give, and I'm really looking forward to putting my own stamp on the menu."
PB Jacobse, CEO of Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, added: "We have long admired Kerth and we are so pleased to have him on board. His innovative and modern approach to fine dining and immaculate presentation skills will be a real asset and I know he will take Fenchurch to new heights."
