Gold Service Scholarship winner Jennifer Santner appointed general manager of the Grill at the Dorchester

Gold Service Scholarship winner Jennifer Santner has been appointed general manager of the Grill at the Dorchester ahead of its relaunch next week.

Santner joins the restaurant, at the Dorchester hotel in London's Park Lane, from D&D London's Michelin-starred Angler restaurant at the South Place Hotel in Finsbury where she was restaurant manager.

She had earlier held the position of restaurant manager of the Lecture Room and Library at Sketch London, which was awarded its third Michelin star in the 2020 guide, unveiled last month.

Santner won the Gold Service Scholarship in 2016 while restaurant manager of Fenchurch Restaurant at Sky Garden by Rhubarb. In 2018 she was a finalist in the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year Awards.

The Dorchester Collection spokesperson said: "Jennifer's wealth of experience combined with her natural talent is a welcome addition to the restaurant's exciting next chapter."

The restaurant is to be relaunched on 12 November under head chef Tom Booton who will unveil his personal interpretation of a modern-day British grill, creating a more relaxed dining experience for the five-red-AA-star, 250-bedroom hotel.

Santner replaces Kieran McLoughlin in the role.
