Jay Burgesson-Carter promoted to MD at Food Show Events catering

London event caterer Food Show Events has promoted Jay Burgesson-Carter to managing director.

Burgesson-Carter has been acting managing director for several months and has been with the company for three years, joining as commercial director.

The promotion comes at the end of a two-year transitional period, with founder Andrew Gosling moving into the new role of chief executive and chairman.

Gosling, founder and owner, said: "We have faced a very challenging seven months due to the Covid pandemic and undoubtedly the next few months will remain this way. Jay's commitment to the business has been exceptional during this time. He has shown dedication and passion, supporting clients and staff while driving the business to create new revenue streams and create innovative initiatives."

Max Uyanik, partner and chef director of Food Show, added: "During the past three years it has been amazing to work alongside Jay, he has brought a new drive to the business and although we face challenging times ahead, we look forward to tackling them together."
