Hospitality Action calls on supporters to chart 50,000 mile course between hospitality hotspots
Trade charity Hospitality Action is calling on supporters to band together to cycle, jog, run or walk a mammoth 50,000 miles as it launches its biggest ever virtual fundraising challenge.
The Back in Business Tour, which will take place from 10 to 20 June, will see participants set out from Hospitality Action's London HQ and collectively plot a virtual course between some of the most famous hospitality venues and experiences on the planet.
The annual fundraising event began in 2020 as the ‘20,000 Mile Hospitality challenge'. Last year, the ‘30,000 Miles to Hell and Back challenge' raised £250,000.
Mark Lewis, chief executive at Hospitality Action, said: "By entering a team to our Back in Business Tour not only will you boost team morale and employee wellbeing, you'll also increase staff engagement and commitment.
"Signing up to the Back in Business tour couldn't be easier, employees can simply turn on their Strava before a busy lunch service to clock up their miles and compete with team mates to see who has walked the most."
The challenge will begin on the morning of Friday 10 June at the virtual starting point of Hospitality Action's office and end at the same spot (50,000 miles later) at 2pm, Monday 20 June.
Each participant who raises more than £200 will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 15 bottles of Taittinger Brut Réserve.
The first 15 participants to raise more than £400 will also receive a bottle, while the champion fundraiser will receive an exclusive £1,350 Taittinger prize hamper.
