Hallmark Hotels appoints three new general managers
Hallmark Hotels has announced the appointment of three new general managers across its portfolio of 26 UK hotels.
Joseph Henry (pictured, centre) has been appointed general manager of the group's 52-bedroom Warrington hotel, Andrew Conway (pictured, left) takes the helm at Flitwick Manor and Shane Townsend (pictured, right) will lead the team at London Chigwell Prince Regent.
Henry said: "I have a real passion for hospitality and this hotel offers one of the best opportunities in the area to put it to good use."
The new general manager's early priorities will be to redesign hotel's wedding packages and conference offering.
Conway's focus at Flitwick Manor will be increasing the competitiveness of the hotel's event and exclusive use offering, as well as publicising its two-AA-rosette restaurant.
Andrew said: "I've only ever worked across period properties and estates, and it's a real honour to be at the helm of Hallmark Hotel Flitwick Manor, which is so rich in historic interiors and fascinating stories."
Townsend, at the London Chigwell Prince Regent, added: "It's a real honour to be at the helm of this beautiful period hotel, and be part of Hallmark Hotels.
"We are encouraged to be independent and entrepreneurial, which allows us far greater flexibility and the ability to react quickly to changes in the market. It also means that we can really tailor guest stays and special events in a way that some of the large chain hotels can't."
Hallmark Hotels was sold to a consortium of overseas investors for around £250m earlier this year.
