Coffee and cocktail brand Grind secures global partnership with Soho House & Co
Coffee and cocktail club Grind has signed an agreement to become the exclusive UK coffee supplier to private members' club chain Soho House & Co.
The partnership will see Bespoke Grind x Soho House coffee blends, roasted at Grind's London roastery, served across all of Soho House's members' clubs, hotels and restaurants in the UK as well as bringing Grind's Nespresso pods - entirely compostable and the first of their kind in the UK - to all Soho House hotel rooms worldwide.
Grind founder and chief executive David Abrahamovitch said: "I'd been a Soho House member for years before I founded Grind, and to me they've always set the bar as the leading hospitality brand in the world and been a huge source of inspiration. It's a real vote of confidence in everything we've built to be partnering with them to bring Grind coffee to Soho House's members and, our coffee pods to its hotel guests around the world."
Soho House & Co. Drinking director Tom Kerr added: "Grind is a great brand and produces some of the best coffee we've ever tasted. Like Soho House, Grind was born in London, and was the obvious choice for a coffee partner."
A spokesperson from Grind, which was founded in Shoreditch in 2011 and has 11 outlets across London, told The Caterer that the company "has two sites in the pipeline for this year" in Southbank and Canary Wharf and will open "three franchises in the next three months" in partnership with travel caterer SSP Group in Victoria, Waterloo and Glasgow railway stations. By 2022, it aims to operate 21 sites and an additional 15 franchised sites.
In 2019 Grind launched a £1.35m crowdfunding campaign with Crowdcube to help fund six new sites, a new coffee roastery and a retail range Grind at Home. The "groundbreaking" campaign went into over-funding, smashing its target to raise a total of £3,391,330 from 1691 investors.
The company launched its Grind At Home range last year, featuring the UK's first entirely compostable coffee pods.
