Gordon Ramsay to open biggest Street Burger yet at the O2

Gordon Ramsay is to open his biggest Street Burger restaurant yet, at the O2 arena in London in July.

The site will seat 175 covers across two floors and will offer a burger, fries and unlimited soft drinks for £15.

It is the latest opening in a major expansion drive for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, which last year said it plans to open up to 50 new restaurants across the UK.

"We are very excited to open this incredible new restaurant at such a prominent visitor attraction," said Andy Wenlock, chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.

This is the fifth Street Burger restaurant the chef has opened in the past year, following openings in London's St Paul's, Covent Garden, Charing Cross Road and Woking.

The company has also opened Street Pizza sites in London's Battersea, Southwark, St Paul's and Camden.

A Gordon Ramsay Academy cookery school is due to replace the Tante Marie Culinary Academy facility above the Woking restaurant this autumn.

Last month Antony Perring joined the group as chief financial officer, having held similar roles at Leon Restaurants and Wagamama during periods when both chains saw rapid growth.
