Gordon Ramsay to open second Street Burger restaurant in London

Gordon Ramsay is to open a second restaurant under his Street Burger brand in London this April.

The chef has secured the former Byron site at 24-28 Charing Cross Road for the launch.

The 2,070 sq ft restaurant will be spread over two floors with "street art-inspired" feature walls, and is set to open in April for outdoor dining.

Street Burger debuted in London's St Pauls in December 2020 with a menu focusing on seven burgers, including vegetarian and vegan options.

Hospitality property advisor Shelley Sandzer acted for Landlord Gascoyne Holdings on the Charing Cross site deal.

Nick Weir, co-managing director at Shelley Sandzer, said: "Coming from one of this generation's most revered chefs, there's no doubting the quality or credentials of Street Burger, and chef Ramsay's investment in the industry at this most challenging time is vital.

"Charing Cross Road runs right through the heart of London's West End, and this site therefore needed a really strong brand that could play its role in bringing vibrancy back to the capital. Street Burger will do just that and their signing a vote of confidence in the West End."

Ramsay runs 18 London restaurants, including three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, and a further 17 worldwide.

He is due to launch a small number of London sites after lockdown under his Street Burger and Street Pizza concepts, including at Battersea Power Station.

The chef's restaurant group is planning to open up to 50 further UK sites by 2025, including a roll out of its Bread Street Kitchen concept.
