Gold Service Scholar joins the Pig at Harlyn Bay

The 2017 Gold Service Scholarship winner Stephanie Beresforde has joined the newest Pig hotel in the Home Grown Hotels stable.

She will be part of the opening team at the Pig at Harlyn Bay in Padstow as restaurant manager.

Having won the Gold Service Scholarship in 2017 Beresforde joined Jean-Georges at the Connaught as assistant restaurant director, leaving the business in December 2018 to go travelling.

She has now returned to join the 30-bedroom Pig at Harlyn Bay , which is located within a Grade II-listed house dating back to the 16th century, with features from medieval, Jacobean and Georgian periods.

Announcing her appointment on Instagram, Beresforde said: "Today I started my new role at The Pig, and will be the opening Restaurant Manager of the new Pig-At Harlyn Bay, due to open by Summer next year!! To say I'm excitement would be a huge understatement!

"Can't wait to spend the next 3 months in this incredible building, training at the Pig-At Bridge Place, and even more excited to be finally heading back home to Padstow in a couple of months!!"
