FEA launches online advice pack for mothballing equipment

The Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA) has put together an online resource for foodservice operators on how to protect their equipment as they shut up shop and mothball appliances.

Although in an ideal world a kitchen would be mothballed by a service provider, who could service the appliances at the same time, this is not going to be possible for many operators.

The association's members have pooled advice and supply instructions on how to shut down appliances to ensure that they are safe and ready to use once operators can reopen.

"By putting all this information in one place, operators can access it easily and quickly," said John Whitehouse, chair of FEA.

The FEA Equipment and Systems Preservation Guidance can be found in the Covid-19 section here at fea.org.uk.
