Company of Cooks secures £120m in retained business

Company of Cooks has reported a "strong first half of 2023", having secured over £120m in retained business.

The restaurant and event caterer announced it has extended partnerships with the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce; the Southbank Centre; Old Royal Naval College; Chelsea Physic Garden; and the Royal Academy of Engineering and BMA House, all of which are based in London.

It comes after Company of Cooks merged with Venues by CH&Co in March, creating a £70m leisure catering and hospitality business with a portfolio of 30 venues and destinations.

The company said clients had cited its collaborative approach; commitment to foodservice; and approach to sustainability as reasons for staying with the business.

Rob Fredrickson, managing director of Company of Cooks, said: "Extending our partnerships with such an incredible range of venues is an important part of our plans for the next five years, providing an amazing platform from which we can continue to build our position as the leading restaurant, bar, café and event caterer in the UK.

"These partnerships, some of which are now entering their third terms, highlight how a range of clients are really starting to connect with our belief that brilliant food, drink and service can not only drive revenues and help broaden audiences, they can also provide a platform for doing good for the people and businesses we work with and for – all the while safeguarding the planet for future generations."

The original Company of Cooks catering business was founded in 1996 and was acquired by CH&Co in 2019.
