BrewDog ‘secures' Ape & Bird pub in London's Shaftesbury Avenue
BrewDog has announced it has ‘secured' the former Ape & Bird pub in London's Shaftesbury Avenue, which will open as BrewDog Seven Dials before the end of February.
The self-styled punk craft brewery has acquired the stand-alone three-floor site in Cambridge Circus from Venetian-inspired restaurant group Polpo.
The new site will host 20 cutting-edge craft beers on tap, from both its own and other breweries.
The pub will also look to attract theatregoers with a food range including its burger and wings menus.
As well as this, the central London venue will offer weekend brunches, with all food paired against craft beers.
A spokesperson for the brewery said: "We love the fact that London has supported us since we ventured forth into Camden back in 2011.
BrewDog also plans to open its first BrewDog BrewPub in the Minster Building, close to Tower Hill, this Spring.
The brewery will produce small-batch exclusive brews from the 8,500 sq ft location, which will be its second largest venue in the world.
