Shopshire's the Baron at Bucknell is up for sale
A recently refurbished country inn with eight bedrooms has gone on the market with a price tag of £1.8m.
The Baron at Bucknell has been owned by Phil and Debra Wright since 2006. Located within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the property is comprised of a converted 18th century farm building featuring five bedrooms and further three bedrooms situated around a natural swimming pool.
Up to 80 covers can be served in the restaurant, which retains an original cider press from 1777, and across the lounge, bar and conservatory. The property also features a wood pellet biomass boiler and its own spring water supply.
The Wrights, who are now retiring from the industry, said: "We have made many improvements over the years including a new build kitchen, converting the first floor to five bedrooms and then later developing the paddock providing a further three garden bedrooms and the natural swimming pond which are really special.
"We've had 16 glorious years and have created a business we are very proud of. It is a truly beautiful place to live and operate a business and the Baron is very special."
Monique Royle, divisional director of Fleurets Midlands, which is marketing the property, said there was an opportunity to build on trade built up by the Wrights by "extending food hours and the construction of three additional garden rooms which has services and planning permission in place".
