Walk for Wellbeing announces walking campaign during Mental Health Awareness Week
Walk for Wellbeing has launched its walking campaign in support of Hospitality Action during Mental Health Awareness Week.
The charitable event, also known as Walk for Calm, aims to promote wellbeing by encouraging members of the hospitality industry to enjoy the fresh air and make time for some exercise.
Hosted 20km challenges are due to take place on 16 October in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and London.
Participants can also walk during 8-16 October in a location more suitable to them.
Craig Prentice, founder of hospitality talent partner, Mum, said: "I am excited to announce this year's Walk For Wellbeing, which will take place around World Mental Health Day, this October. It's important to keep working together to make a difference, ensuring mental health and wellbeing stays firmly on the people agenda.
"We have partnered with some fantastic companies to support Hospitality Action and the vital work they continue to do. Please save the date, ready yourself and your teams. We will be sharing more with you soon."
Hospitality Action is a charity providing support for the hospitality industry. As it prepares to celebrate its 185th year, the organisation is seeking to recruit 185 new members across the country.
Walk for Wellbeing is held in partnership with The Caterer, Caterer.com and Davidson Asset Management (DAM).
