Stephanie Linnartz, group president, consumer operations, technology & emerging businesses, Marriott International, said: "Our stellar growth results prove that our broad brand portfolio and platforms are resonating with owners and developers, as well as with customers."

The three new UK hotels for 2020 are:

  • Abbey hotel, Bath – the 62-bedroom property owned by KE Hotels will join Marriott's Tribute Portfolio collection of independent hotels in the spring.
  • Princess Street, Manchester – owned by Aspen Hotels, the 141-bedroom hotel will also join Tribute Portfolio at the end of the year.

Marriott International portfolio is made up of 30 brands including Ritz-Carlton, St Regis, Edition, Sheraton and Moxy.
