Tender: Café restaurant at the Institut Français in London
The Institut Français in London seeks a partner to cater in its café restaurant
Located in the heart of South Kensington in London in a listed Art Deco building, the Institut Français welcomes 200,000 people a year in its Cultural Centre comprising two cinemas, two libraries, a café and performance rooms, thanks to the quality of its services and its diverse cultural programme 7 days a week.
The Institut Français is currently renovating its listed façade and aims at improving its visibility and making it easier for Londoners to enjoy its rich programme of activities. The Café consists of a 70 m² (flexible) catering space located on the ground floor, near the recently revamped entrance, main foyer, and staircase. Customers access the Café through the same entrance as the Institute's visitors at 17, Queensberry Place.
The building offers a full access for disabled people. The Café contributes to the life and attractiveness of the Cultural Centre itself; a close collaboration between the two parties is therefore essential. The rental period, the extent of the rented area, the opening days, and times, as well as the concept of the Café itself, will have to be discussed and agreed on between the two parties.
We expect the Café to be open on a seven-day basis, with a light but good quality offer on food, both to eat in or take away. The future tenant could also become the privileged partner of the Institute for its regular catering needs. Applications should be sent along with a detailed proposal (staff, products, commercial strategy, providers, etc.).
