Standard Hotels to open first Dublin property

American group Standard Hotels is to open its first property in Ireland in 2025.

The 200-room hotel will be located at Connolly Quarter in Dublin City Centre and form part of a mixed-use development connected to Ireland's largest transport hub.

CBRE has advised Ballymore on securing a hotel management agreement with Standard Hotels.

Dave Murray, director, Ireland Hotels at CBRE, said: "This is an ideal partnership between a best-in-class developer and one of the most stylish hotel brands worldwide.

"Situated in a prime location with a superb food and beverage offering, this hotel opening will create something very special for the city of Dublin."

Standard Hotels is known for its stylish design and runs six hotels in locations including New York, Miami Beach and the Maldives.

Its first international hotel opened overlooking London's St Pancras railway station in 2019, with a restaurant and bar, named Decimo (pictured), run in partnership with Bristol chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias.

The group is expanding globally with hotels due to launch in locations including Hua Hin, Thailand, in December, Bangkok in 2022, Melbourne in 2023 and Brussels in 2025.

Its original hotel on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, which opened in 1999, closed for good in 2021.
