Find solutions to the talent shortage at the Staffing Summit
As operators struggle to find the staff to fully reopen post lockdown, The Caterer is holding a Staffing Summit to explore the options open to hospitality business to expand their people pipeline.
The free virtual summit, sponsored by Stint and in partnership with VisitEngland, will take place on the morning of 22 July. It will highlight how the industry can better promote the career options available in the sector and feature organisations that can assist in their search for new recruits.
Among the speakers the Springboard charity, which supports people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life into employment in hospitality, will explain how to take advantage of the Kickstart programme and apprenticeship opportunities.
Meanwhile, Ritz London executive chef John Williams will discuss how he engages new kitchen employees, and Emma Underwood, restaurant general manager at Conrad London St James, will set out the creative ways she is attracting employees to the hotel.
The Caterer editor James Stagg said: "This half-day conference will be dedicated to equipping operators with the tools to attract new recruits and reveal ways to attract and keep staff in long-term, sustainable careers.
