Sosban and the Old Butchers site up for sale but open for 'business as usual'
The Michelin-starred Sosban and the Old Butchers restaurant site in Anglesey has been put on the market but its chef says it remains open as normal.
The restaurant was launched in 2013 and has since won both a star and four AA rosettes.
Founders Stephen Stevens and Bethan have since separated, and it is now run single-handedly by chef Stephen.
The restaurant is housed in a Grade-II listed building, which once operated as a butcher's shop, and has space for just eight diners across four tables.
The site has been put up for sale for offers around £450,000 for the freehold. Stephen hopes to continue operating the restaurant as a tenant under its new owner or relocate to a new site.
He said it was "business as usual" at the restaurant, which is fully booked until January, and that he would look to relocate to another location in Anglesey if he did not remain in the site in future.
Tom O'Malley, associate director of pubs and restaurants at Christie & Co, which is handling the sale, said: "This is a fantastic freehold business opportunity to take over a Michelin star restaurant in Anglesey.
"The current owner, Steve Stephens has indicated that he would be keen to continue operating the restaurant as a tenant and therefore, is prepared to enter into a lease agreement with a new owner, providing them with an immediate and regular income."
