Soho House secures additional equity funding
Soho House has secured additional equity funding from a group of new and existing shareholders led by American billionaire Ron Burkle.
According to Sky News the injection amounted to $100m (£80.7m).
The group secured a $100m (£77.7m) equity investment late last year, led by Raycliff Capital with an additional significant stake from Simon Property Group, putting a $2b (£1.6b) valuation on the business.
A spokesperson said: "We have secured additional equity funding as a follow-on to last year's equity investment, which underlines the $2b [£1.6b] valuation of Soho House. It is led by Ron Burkle personally, and shows his belief in the business."
The group, founded by 2015 Hotelier of the Year Nick Jones, has members' clubs across Europe, North America and Asia, as well as restaurants, cinemas, workspaces, spas and bedrooms. The group's UK portfolio includes eight ‘houses' across London, Babington House in Somerset, Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, and the Ned in the City of London.
