Patty & Bun spin-off Sidechick to open first London restaurant
Sidechick, the roast chicken restaurant concept created by Patty & Bun founder Joe Grossman, has secured its first permanent site in central London.
It will open at 56 James Street, next door to Patty & Bun's original Marylebone restaurant, this May.
The restaurant will be split over two floors and seat 50 indoor covers and 20 outdoors.
Sidechick launched as a delivery-only brand during lockdown last year, offering roast chicken, vegetables, salads and flatbreads cooked over coals.
Its drinks menu will focus on natural and biodynamic wines, with cocktails designed to complement the food.
"The overwhelmingly positive response to our delivery-only service during the spring-summer 2020 lockdown encouraged us to source a permanent location for the concept," said Grossman.
"Hospitality faces an uncertain future, so we are doing all we can to create jobs and bring diners new concepts to look forward to in the coming weeks, months, and years."
