Searcys nets five-year deal at Institution of Engineering and Technology
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has chosen Searcys to provide catering for its internal and external events.
Searcys will predominantly work with IET London at its Savoy Place headquarters, located by the river Thames. The institute is set across four floors with 16 rooms of conference and events space, including a roof terrace, two lecture theatres and a library.
The five-year contract will see Searcys create new menus and events packages, with head chef Stuart Fay planning to showcase seasonal British produce across breakfast, buffets, canapé receptions, fine dining and touch-free lunchboxes for meetings and conferences.
Searcys will also introduce wine and Champagne lists and will cater for the on-site members café, as well as introducing experiences for members, such as wine tastings and masterclasses.
"It is an incredibly exciting time for Searcys, and we are thrilled to be welcoming IET London: Savoy Place into our portfolio," said Searcys managing director Paul Jackson.
"Located in the heart of London, it is an incredible venue with a range of spaces, and we look forward to working with the team to develop the event side of the business, alongside delivering expert catering for which Searcys is renowned for. This is a pivotal moment for the return of events post-lockdown and launching our services to coincide with this is a great responsibility and very exciting, especially as we look ahead to a busy festive season."
Sean Spencer, head of IET Venues, added: "We're thrilled to be working together with Searcys to deliver an innovative catering offering for guests at our London venue. Their sustainable credentials, alongside the quality and creativity of their menus, was a deciding factor for us and the company ethos is very much in line with our own commitment to exceptional service, quality, and an increasingly analytical approach to sustainability initiatives. Catering is an integral contributor to the success of events, and we're excited for guests to experience this at Savoy Place."
