SBE to launch luxury coffee shop brand in London's St Martin's Lane hotel

US-based hospitality company SBE has revealed plans to launch a new luxury coffee shop brand at its St Martin's Lane hotel.

EllaMia, named after SBE founder and chief executive Sam Nazarian's two daughters, is expected to open at the London property on 18 November 2019.

It will serve artisan coffee and tea alongside kombucha, smoothies and protein shakes as well as breakfast and lunch options.

The opening will be the first in a series of hotel and residential launches planned for key international markets including New York, Doha and Dubai. The company expects to open more than 20 sites by 2021.

Nazarian commented: "The style and elevated atmosphere of St Martins Lane hotel London is the perfect setting for EllaMia's debut, and we couldn't be more thankful for the partnership and continuous support of the hotel's owners and staff."

In October 2018, Accor completed an acquisition of a 50% stake in SBE in a $319m (£244m) deal.

Earlier this year the two companies announced plans to rebrand a number of the properties within their jointly owned portfolio of 20 hotels under the umbrella moniker House of Originals.
