Sara Roberts named managing director of Umbrella Training

Sara Roberts has been named managing director of hospitality specialists Umbrella Training, in a newly created role.

Roberts will be responsible for overall operations and developing the strategic direction of the business, working alongside founder and CEO, Adele Oxberry.

Roberts has previously worked for companies including QA, Avado Learning and Arch Apprenticeships.

Most recently she was the learning delivery director at Avado Group, a national training provider with over 3,000 apprentices, where she led a team of 100 mentoring and coaching professionals.

Roberts said: "I am excited to be returning to the hospitality sector to work alongside Adele and the fantastic team at Umbrella Training.

"I've always had a passion for meaningful development. Helping people improve their lives, learn new skills, and provide financial security through their own efforts is something that means a lot to me.

"Through our work at Umbrella, I believe we are in a very strong position to do this and I can't wait to get started."

Oxberry added: "We are delighted to welcome Sara to the team. Not only does she have some incredible training and development experience, but she shares the same values as everybody in the company.

"We are all motivated to support and develop people, giving them the tools to succeed and enhance our already fantastic hospitality sector."
