Sai Nathan named general manager of the Arden hotel
Sai Nathan has been appointed general manager of the four-AA-star boutique Arden hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.
He has previously worked at the Arden over the course of his 20-year career in hospitality, both as chef operations manager and senior sous chef for the hotel's two-AA-rosette restaurant, No. 44 Brasserie.
Nathan also has an association with the owners of the Arden, the Eden Hotel Collection, as he previously held the role of operations manager at sister property Mallory Court Hotel and Spa in Leamington.
The 47-year-old was most recently at the Core Theatre in Solihull, where he was catering operations manager.
This will be Nathan's first general manager role, which he described as "the stuff of dreams" since he first joined the property in 2013.
"The Arden hotel is one of Stratford's most popular destinations and attracts tourists from all over the globe, but I'm really keen to build on its reputation as the destination to be in Stratford for first-class hospitality and dining," said Nathan.
"In particular, given my restaurant background, I'm excited for our plans with No. 44 Brasserie as we look to adapt the offering and showcase the incredible talent of our award-winning kitchen team."
Mark Chambers, group managing director, added: "It's an incredibly exciting time for Sai to join the Arden with plans in the pipeline to continue to refresh the offer and continually push our high standards for excellent customer service.
"Sai is a popular figure within the Eden Hotel Collection and has demonstrated a terrific amount of energy and passion throughout his time with us, so we are delighted to see him continue his journey here."
The Arden has been part of the Eden Hotel Collection since 2010. It is currently undergoing refurbishment and completed the first phase of renovations last year with the addition of a new Club Bar with a private riverside terrace, reception and a private dining suite.
