Robin Gill to open Maria G's restaurant in Kensington
Robin Gill is to open a new Italian restaurant in London's Kensington in June.
Maria G's will be inspired by the chef's time working in the south of Italy and fishing village, Marina Del Cantone, which he visits regularly.
The restaurant will be on the ground floor of a new development between Earl's Court and Kensington.
Full menu details are still under wraps, but it will range from cicchetti to fresh pasta, and house-cured salamis.
Other dishes will include Ivy House ricotta agnolotti, wild rocket, baby purple artichoke; house-cured rosemary and Sicilian orange bresaola; and Penzance red mullet, Amalfi lemon, wild fennel aioli.
Maria G's will be Gill's second restaurant in west London, joining Brentford's Rye by the Water. The chef also owns south London restaurants Darby's, Sorella and Bermondsey Larder.
He closed his acclaimed Clapham restaurants, the Dairy and Counter Culture, after the pandemic hit in 2020.
