The Ramada Hatfield relaunches as the Comet hotel
Lester Hotels has relaunched the Comet in Hatfield as a 65-bedroom property following a multimillion pound refurbishment.
The Art Deco-style property was previously known as the Ramada Hatfield and took two years to redevelop.
A new bedroom wing was added, featuring 52 bedrooms, while the original Comet building houses 13 rooms, including two suites.
The hotel also features two business events and conference spaces and Element Bar & Kitchen, which will be available for private hire.
The refurbishment and extension was based on the history and period features of the original Comet Hotel, which opened in 1936.
Management company Lester Hotels also manages the Ramada London Finchley, the Nant Ddu Lodge Hotel & Spa, near Merthyr Tydfil, and the Ramada Resort Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa, Usk.
