Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester relaunches under Radisson Collection
The Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester has relaunched as the Edwardian Manchester under the Radisson Collection banner following a £12m renovation.
The 263-bedroom hotel, located within the city's Free Trade Hall, was bought by the Edwardian Group for a price believed to be in excess of the £37.5m asking price in 2011.
A year later the property was rebranded from the Radisson Edwardian Free Trade Hall hotel to Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester along with 12 other properties in the portfolio as the time.
Following the latest relaunch by Edwardian Hotels London and Radisson Hotel Group, it has become the third property under the premium Radisson Collection brand after the May Fair in London and the Royal Mile Edinburgh. It has also become the second Edwardian Hotels London hotel to join the collection.
Facilities available at the hotel include a spa, gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms.
The Edwardian Manchester's food and beverage offer includes the Peter Street Kitchen, a contemporary restaurant serving Japanese and Mexican small plate dishes, and the Library restaurant, curated by book publisher Assouline,.
Jasminder Singh, chairman and chief executive of Edwardian Hotels London, described the launch as a "substantial milestone" for both the company and the city of Manchester.
